Buckling Analysis of Thin-Walled Circular Shells under Local Axial Compression using Vector Form Intrinsic Finite Element Method

چکیده

The buckling failure of thin-walled circular shells under local axial compression is common in engineering. This study uses the vector form intrinsic finite element (VFIFE) method to investigate behavior by introducing a multilinear hardening model, taking into account geometric and material nonlinearity. A analysis program based on VFIFE was developed verified comparison with experimental results. mode postbuckling were studied using program. results show that model can accurately calculate load axially compressed shells, effectively simulate development process, which offers great advantages predicting structures.
